8. Pacific Princess (1975)
Launched in 1971 as Sea Venture, Pacific Princess is fondly remembered today for her 27-year career with Princess Cruises (beginning in 1975), and as television’s original “Love Boat.” Pacific Princess, helped by the show’s popularity, played a major role in creating the cruising renaissance of the 1990s. Pacific Princess was scrapped in 2013.
