10. Freedom of the Seas
The first true megaliner, Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas was the largest passenger ship ever built (by gross tonnage) from 2006 until the debut of the company’s Oasis-class ships three years later. Designed to accommodate 3,634 passengers and 1,300 crew members on 15 passenger decks, the 154,407 GRT Freedom of the Seas’ amenities include three swimming areas: an interactive water park, a FlowRider surf simulator, a miniature golf course, a full size basketball court and an ice skating rink.
